Our Dark World

Mark 15:33-34 At noon the sky became extremely dark. The darkness lasted three hours. At three o'clock, Jesus groaned out of the depths, crying loudly, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which means, "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?" 35-36Some of the bystanders who heard him said, "Listen, he's calling for Elijah." Someone ran off, soaked a sponge in sour wine, put it on a stick, and gave it to him to drink, saying, "Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down." 37-39But Jesus, with a loud cry, gave his last breath. At that moment the Temple curtain ripped right down the middle. When the Roman captain standing guard in front of him saw that he had quit breathing, he said, "This has to be the Son of God!" This is the depiction of the end! When I was younger my world was filled with those who believed. Although how you believed was up for debate there was no question that all around me believed in GOD! Now I can walk an entire day and meet no one that acknowledges Him. This world is a dark place, all look out for them selves and you can die alone with no one by your side. A selfish life leads to isolation and loneliness. The one and only son of God led a perfect life accomplished his mission but his reward was cruel death at the hands of hate. He did not ask why me he only wanted to have the cup pass by him but he knew dark in this world would overcome light. Why God have you forsaken us? The mission is almost over the darkness has come and it's like your far away turning away when we need you most. Could it be it's time; could it be that soon all will cry out look this has to be God's Son? Is the curtain that hides our eyes from your glory...will it soon rip to reveal...
